Oscar-nominaties 2023: een overzicht
De genomineerden voor de belangrijkste Amerikaanse filmprijzen, de Academy Awards, beter bekend als de Oscars zijn door de Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) voor de 95e editie bekendgemaakt.
De Amerikaanse absurdistische comedy-dramafilm Everything Everywhere All at Once werd met 11 nominaties het meest genomineerd. De comedyfilm The Banshees of Inishereen en de oorlogsfilm All Quiet on the Western Front pakten beiden 9 nominaties.
Nederland
Er is dit jaar geen enkele Nederlandse inzending of Nederlander genomineerd. Nederland had de films Knorr (van regisseur Mascha Halberstadt) en de film It's Nice in Here (van regisseur Robert-Jonathan Koeyers) ingezonden.
Belgische film
De Belgische film Close van regisseur Lukas Dhont maakt wel een kans op een Oscar als beste buitenlandse film. Deze film vertoont het verhaal over een vriendschap tussen twee tienerjongens die onder druk komt te staan.
In de commentaren op de bekendmaking komt onder meer naar voren dat diversiteit dit jaar veel meer een rol speelt dan in voorgaande edities.
