We offer thousands of online games and also partner with digital publishers to display digital advertisements across game and non-game content, reaching hundreds of millions of players and consumers worldwide. We are growing fast, both organically and through acquisitions.

This means that day-to-day we are working on mergers and acquisitions, adtech, visual design and content creation, while also developing partnerships and building online communities. We are headquartered in Amsterdam and we have more than 1400 talented people of 55+ nationalities working in 25+ offices around Europe, with very diverse and multi-ethnic backgrounds. For our HR Team at Azerion headquarters in Amsterdam we are looking for a HR Director NL / BE.

About the team

The HR Team is a young and ambitious group of talented professionals. With the fast growth of the company together with the further development of the local HR strategy we are searching for an experienced HR Director to head the HR team in Amsterdam. You will report into the VP HR and have a team consisting of HR Manager & Support Specialists to guide.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Drive the local HR Strategy and prioritise needs 
  • Contribute to the business strategy and culture by identifying, prioritising, and building organisational capabilities, behaviours, structures, and processes
  • Lead effective execution of agreed HR initiatives in the most appropriate manner to maintain business expectations and align with business strategy – including leading policy and process improvements, designing and implementing HR and development programs, and supporting organisation design
  • Advance Azerion’s DEI initiatives in collaboration with leadership to ensure people strategies promote a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment.
  • Coach the HR team in their daily activities
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to appropriately define and forecast workforce needs and ensure fulfilment of local talent needs
  • Coach and advise leadership teams and line managers, providing recommendations to improve performance, employee retention and overall employee experience.
  • Establish credibility throughout the global organisation as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges
  • Plan, Develop and Coordinate projects such as; 
    • Headcount planning
    • Compensation & benefits
    • Learning & Development
    • Retention & Employer Branding
    • Build Company Culture
    • Partnership with Finance on cost accruals and tax compliance

 

What you are able to bring to the table:

  • Fluent in verbal and written business English
  • 10 or more years’ progressively responsible work experience in a strategic HR leadership role. Tech or other high growth professional services environment preferred
  • Experience leading remote HR team members and working with global stakeholders across EMEA, APAC, and LATAM
  • Experience working with acquisitions and integrations strongly preferred
  • Experience scaling an organisation through high growth
  • Advanced knowledge in organisational development, diversity and inclusion, performance management, labour relations, employee communications, and general knowledge to ask the right questions to make decisions and mitigate risk
  • Skilled at advancing corporate culture and successfully leading change management initiatives, implementing, and driving change management process and training.
  • Skilled in setting short and long-term people strategy while being able to quickly execute tactically with a ‘roll up your sleeves’ approach.
  • Ability to make thought-through and creative recommendations to effectively prioritise and resolve problems or issues, by using sound judgement that is consistent with business standards, practices, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills, team orientation, ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels. Ability to work effectively across organisational and regional boundaries to achieve common goals
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, and to navigate employees of all levels through a variety of organisational changes
  • Ability to understand and empathise with people across all cultures and geographies and a commitment to DEI
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and model the highest degree of moral and ethical behaviour

 

Additional information

  • We do not offer relocation to the Netherlands for this position
  • This position is based in Amsterdam
