The Performance Manager is part of the Performance Strategy & Planning team for the Nike EMEA account and reports to the Performance Planning Director. The Performance Manager has an important task in contributing to the quality and innovation of the Digital Strategy for Nike, including cross-channel and full funnel strategies and tactics. This concerns support in the development of these ways of work and templates itself and the positioning of them within the Initiative teams working for Nike (Including Comms Design, Craft teams and Analytics team). As well as towards the external stakeholders Nike side (Nike Integrated Media team). 
 
In addition, the Performance Manager is deployed as a Sr Digital Consultant that challenges digital media plans for brand campaigns created for specific constructs (E.g. Womens, Kids/Jordan and/or Mens). In this role the Performance Manager will attend briefing and strategy sessions with the client and with the Initiative Strategy and Comms Design teams, and will consult on topics such as cross channel testing opportunities and full funnel digital (audience) strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports Performance Director with performance strategy, tactical frameworks and testing opportunities.
  • Creates integrated digital tactical approaches aligning social, programmatic and paid search to ensure maximum performance for Nike in each phase of the consumer journey
  • Translates brand briefs into clear digital KPI’s and plans based on client needs and campaign objectives
  • Translates relevant digital trends into opportunities (feed-based advertising, multi touch attribution models, cross channel tactics and audience strategy)
  • Understands how to respond to digital challenges (Cookieless future, Media responsibility, brand safety,
  • Delivers plans and in-flight optimisation recommendations to Performance Director to approve
  • Works with Craft teams to understand maximum investment levels and point of diminishing returns by Craft to inform planning and optimisation  Works with Craft teams to understand current performance and what is possible in terms of optimisations
  • Communicates overall / cross-channel performance and optimisation recommendations to clients (Commentary / Meetings)
  • Provides Performance Director with context for planning and in-flight optimisation
  • Regular media, sector, and competitor-specific trend & insight reporting.
  • Support the creation of campaign performance reports for both regional activity and the collation of these reports at a global level and present the findings confidently to clients.
  • Works with the Performance Analytics team members, craft specialists and Nike to create testing methodologies and optimizes

 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Proven performance and digital media experience in more than one channel, incl. campaign execution, optimization and reporting.
  • Proven tactical and strategic experience, including creating processes and frameworks to improve digital performance across the board
  • Ability to drive projects from conception to completion; able to conceptualize based on relevant digital trends and insights and able to translate this into clear processes and ways of work to be used by colleagues and Nike
  • Experience in a global role and market coordination.
  • Experience in presenting strategies and frameworks to different stakeholders (both internally and externally)
  • Values diverse perspectives, experiences, and skillsets; Brings different thinkers and resources together for a common goal
  • Strong Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, advanced formulas, formatting) and PowerPoint experience.
  • Understanding of relevant digital trends, such as cookieless future, aligning brand and performance KPI’s and media responsibility in terms of sustainability and inclusiveness
  • Fluent in English, both in presenting and writing
  • Strong digital strategy and DCO experience.
  • Analytical mindset and a natural affinity and competence for handling figures and data.
