Junior Systems Administrator to join the IT team in Amsterdam

To maintain this seamless connectivity, the Ambassadors IT team is seeking a proactive and research driven Junior Systems Administrator to join us. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in resolving connectivity issues, configuring operating systems, and providing swift support through various communication channels, such as voice, email, and chat. Our goal is to ensure the Ambassadors team receives prompt and concise solutions to their IT concerns.

Day-to-day tasks will include:

• Addressing IT requests promptly and seeing them through to resolution within agreed timeframes
• Guiding end-users through troubleshooting steps via phone, email, or chat to identify and resolve issues efficiently
• Maintaining issue tracking and documentation, and solving issues within reasonable time, and ensuring proper logging within our ticket management system
• Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
• Preparing and deploying workstations and servers
• Managing staff accounts during onboarding and offboarding, provisioning hardware, and workstation deployment
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting a variety of technical issues across different operating systems and various applications, hardware and peripherals
• Escalating unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams
• Providing prompt and accurate feedback to end-users
• Document technical knowledge in the internal knowledge base
• Identify and suggest possible improvements on process, procedures and or systems
• When occasionally needed, providing support after-hours, and assisting during maintenance weekends
• Maintain personal SLA's

 

About you

We're searching for an individual eager to advance their IT career within our close-knit and passionate team. You should be an independent problem-solver with a hands-on mentality and a "we'll fix that" attitude. Qualifications we're looking for include:

• Minimum year of IT support experience, ideally in a creative environment
• A high level of professionalism and passion for customer service
• An understanding the importance of asset inventory and how to maintain an organized service desk
• Competency in routine preventive maintenance on systems, software, hardware, basic networking, and communications.
• A passion for innovative problem-solving and assisting others.
• Capacity to help with some occasional heavy lifting of the servers
• Understanding of support ticket management and tracking
• Exceptional customer service, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail, including creating, maintaining and updating IT documentation
• Knowledge of videoConferencing troubleshooting
• Knowledge of audio/video troubleshooting and support preferred, but not required

 

Nice-to-have experience in:

• Information security best practices
• Administering G Suite and Adobe CC
• Windows (server) and basic networking troubleshooting
• Creative software such as Adobe Creative Cloud
• Deadline Render Farm
• Exp 2D/3D and Design tools such as Autodesk Maya and Foundry
• Affinity with Linux distributions
