To keep up with our rapid growth we are looking for a Game Analyst at Azerion headquarters in Amsterdam.

What you will be doing in this role

The role of the Game Analyst is to support gaming related business stakeholders by creating reports and performing analysis in order to help them to make data driven decisions and adjust their strategy ongoing. From collecting requirements to delivering standard reports or ad hoc analysis, the whole process from getting data to creating insights is in scope for this role.

About the team

The Business Intelligence team goal is to centralize, process and provide access to different type of data within the organization. From gaming related insights to financial figures, the information is shared via standard/ad-hoc reporting, rather than presentations to other teams or analyses documents. Key pillars for the team are to make the data accessible and easy to read/interpret.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Understanding stakeholder’s requirements and translating them into actionable reports/analysis
  • Communicating with live ops team / game producers and assist in making data driven decisions 
  • Taking an active role in the daily operations, responding to report performance and delivery issues
  • Liaising with other teams to ensure data availability and integrity
  • Managing multi-disciplinary projects, including gaming related models (LTV, churn,…)
  • Developing both regular and ad-hoc reports
  • Building platform/solutions in order to assist evolution/maintenance of existing or new gaming products
  • Documenting data handling and data definitions
  • Maintaining, troubleshooting, and resolving issues/questions for report inventory
  • Driving report environment best practices, coding standards, and look-and-feel
  • Formulating proposals for improvements, and coordinating their approval and implementation with colleagues
  • Providing functional and technical support and training/workshops to business users.

 

What you are able to bring to the table

  • Advanced SQL knowledge
  • Experience with reporting tools
  • Gaming knowledge
  • Preferably you've worked in gaming before
  • Strong analytical thinking and proven ability to solve problems
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines
  • Proactive self-learner, able to identify useful new technologies and solutions to apply to new/existing gaming related data products
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and active environment with evolving priorities
  • Solid communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
