Product Owner / Team Lead Development

MarketResponse is a renowned insights company and focuses on supporting companies with their data journey. We provide our customers with our SAAS solution for data science as a service as well as tailored research projects. We are passionate about enabling our customers (such as NS, De Volksbank, Greenchoice and ACHMEA) to use data driven insights to improve their customer experience. We use cutting-edge techniques to analyze different types of (big) data with our own developed methods, software and state-of-the-art tooling. Our office is located very close to the Utrecht Central Train Station. MarketResponse develops and manages solutions such as Underlined’s ROCX’R, 4Orange – CDP Connect and CMNTY, and our organization consists of a total of 100 employees divided between Research, Data Science and Product Development including support services such as Marketing & Sales.

Product Owner / Team Lead Development

As a Product Owner you are responsible for maximizing the value of the product and act as Team Lead for the development team. By using agile increments, you are responsible that we ensure continuous innovation on state-of-the-art data science for CX solutions. You act as the middleman between the customer, innovation, service, and the development team and ensure the backlog – which you own – is prioritized according to business expectations.

You make sure the data science for CX products that we are building are in line with expectations of the client and that the team working on this product is aware of this. You will comply to the MarketResponse Product goals and roadmap and help the rest of the team to keep their focus. The Product Owner reports to the CTO.

Your tasks & responsibilities

• Develop scope, value, and define backlog items (epics/features/user stories) that guide the Agile development team
• Motivate the scrum team to provide high quality code and data science algorithms
• Ensure our data science as a service platform exceeds customer expectations in ease of use and innovative character
• Work with internal and external customers to identify and analyze their (business) needs related to the product and translate these into new product ideas
• Ensure the product backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all
• Stimulate Agile approach together with the scrum master to create great validation cycles
• Align product roadmap to strategic goals
• Having your own center of expertise that you represent within MarketResponse
• Thought leadership and continuous development and improvement of this expertise with(in) your team is one of your core tasks

 

The team

The development team consists of 15 people (UX Design, Test Management, Front & Back end and Full Stack developers in PHP, .NET, C#, REACT programming environments (both Azure and Amazon cloud).

Knowledge & experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, preferably in an Agile environment
• Proven experience as a Product Owner or Team Lead in software development
• Excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle and best practices
• Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with stakeholders, developers, and other team members
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience in conducting user research and gathering feedback to drive product improvements.
